Your recovery phrase
Save it when you sign up
When you create your account, Gradually shows your recovery phrase once: 24 words that are the only way back into your data if you lose your passkey.
- On Save your recovery phrase, write down the 24 words in order and keep them somewhere safe.
- Tap I've Saved My Recovery Phrase.
Sign in without your passkey
- On the sign-in screen, enter your Email and tap Continue.
- Enter the code from the email and tap Verify.
- Tap Lost your passkey?.
- Enter the 24 words in order, with a space between each, and tap Recover Account.
- Save the new passkey when asked.
Common questions
Can I see my phrase again?
No. Gradually shows it once and doesn't keep a copy.
It says my phrase is incorrect
Check the order and spelling: lowercase words, with one space between each.
It says “Unlock your data”
Tap Use recovery phrase, enter the 24 words, and tap Unlock with Phrase.
What if I lose my passkey and my phrase?
Gradually can't get you back in. A device that is still signed in keeps its data, so don't sign out of it.
